As technology expands, hacking and understanding the self becomes easier.  We often forget, though, that plenty of other methods exist to sharpen your mind, work the body and lighten the spirit.  In the case of square dancing, people have been doing this for hundreds of years.  Joe and Suellen Walker’s presentation “Exercise Your Mind and Body” will walk you through some of the history changes of the dance over the years and invite participants to join along and have fun!

Who do you feel would benefit most from your presentation?
Everyone … all ages … male … female … couples … singles … other :)

What one concept or viewpoint would you like Notacon participants to walk away with?
Modern Western Square Dance is great exercise and lots of fun … and if you aren’t an active participant, it’s time to join in.

When did you become interested in hacker culture and hacker conferences?
When Jodie/Tyger and Paul/Froggy became involved.

What other passions do you have, besides those covered in your presentation?
Crafts of all kinds … knitting … crochet … scrapbook … photography.

What excites you most about Notacon 9?
ALEXA! Oh, that’s not what you mean?

Any final thoughts or statements you’d like to share with the community.
I have taken several things away from the various years we have attended – from how to give a presentation to learning a little more about electronics.
