RTA FaresGetting to the hotel from the airportIt is possible to take a cab from the airport to the hotel. However, unless you are bringing with you a lot of stuff, we suggest you save yourself $20 or so and instead take the RTA Red line to Tower City. Exit the train at Tower city and from there, pick up the Waterfront line to the South Harbor station. From there it is a somwhat short walk to the hotel. Likewise, the hotel will provide limousine service for a charge of $10 to and from the airport from the hotel Coming from the East on I-90Take I-90 West to downtown, stay in the right lines and merge onto Route 2. Stay on route 2 about a mile or so to the East 9th exit. Go South on East 9th until you get to Lakeside (just over the bridge). Turn left on Lakeside. The hotel will be the second building on the left (first street/driveway). The garage is in the back. Coming from the West on I-90 and South on I-71Follow until you reach the East 9th street exit. Take East 9th North until you get to Lakeside (it will be a mile or two). Turn right on Lakeside (one of the last streets before you take the bridge over to the North harbor and Route 2). The Holiday Inn will be the second building on your left. Coming from I-77Follow I-77 North until you reach the city. Take the East 14th street exit (Exit 162B). Follow East 14th North until you reach Lakeside. Turn left on Lakeside. The hotel will be on your right. Local TravelersLocal travelers are welcome to use the hotel parking garage for a fee of $14 per day. . Locals are also encouraged to locate additional "cheap" parking near the hotel, if they desire. The Cleveland Municipal lot is a short walk to the hotel. It is rumored that the lot is $2.50 per day, and the North Point parking garage located nearby is only $9.00 or so per day. Local travelers are also encouraged to use the RTA and can look at the info and schedules below for Case students as it may be helpful in planning your trip in. We of course encourage locals wishing to make the most of their experience to considering going in with friends to get a hotel room for the weekend. We assure you it will be worth your time and money and will save you the headaches and difficulties regarding parking and the RTA schedules. Getting to the Hotel form the Case campusThe easiest and most direct way that doesn't involve a lot of walking is to take the RTA Red Line West to Tower City. Transfer to the Waterfront Line and go to the South Harbor station. Note that the Rapid runs until about midnight and starts up again at Tower City at around 4 AM. You can, though, take the bus back to campus if you get stuck. Full schedules of all RTA lines can be found on their website. |
