Until Notacon 7!
Notacon is a community event driven by submitted presentations and projects. This means that every year of Notacon is much different than the last. See what's on tap for Notacon 7 on our speaker page and events and workshops section.
Back again this year, the Thursday night Freeview. Not sure you're ready to commit to a full weekend of Notacon? Come in on Thursday night, April 15th, at 7pm and listen to a handful of rapid fire 5 to 10 minute presentations previewing topics of the weekend.
Pre-registration is now closed. Tickets will be available at the door for $100.
NOTACON, an annual conference held in Cleveland, Ohio, explores and showcases technologies, philosophy and creativity often overlooked at many "hacker cons". Our desire is not to supplant other events, but complement them and strike a balance that has gone unnoticed in our community for far too long.

With each new year we build upon the successes and knowledge of the previous years. Our goal is to enlighten, educate, and entertain attendees, presenters, and staff alike. We do this by finding new ways to apply technology to graphics, art, music, or social interaction.
Notacon espouses an ethos of exploration, participation and positive contributions. Hence, while some of the material we may cover is controversial or potentially "black hat" in nature, we feel it is important to openly discuss all topics so that others can learn from the experience and create something good, fun or interesting from it.
Events during Notacon run from Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon. Thursday evening is a free and public sampling of topics from our presenters. Friday and Saturday we feature over 40 presentations which are a mix of hands-on workshops and lecture style presentations, contests such as "Anything but Ethernet", prize giveaways and a whole lot of who-knows-what. Anything can happen, and usually does. Saturday night is also the culmination of BlockParty. Demos are screened on the largest video projection and sound system that will fit in the room and every participant at Notacon can vote on the entries. Sunday morning we decompress and crunch the numbers of the con year with a participants open forum, as well as distribute prizes from any weekend contests.
